SBE 400

General:

SUMIT GEARS “ SBE ” SERIES  Extruder Gearboxes are double reduction parallel shaft are available in horizontal and vertical models and are used in single screw extruder machines. The gear units are capable to transmit the high torque required for pressurising and plasticising moulding materials. Also have capability of absorbing the high axial thrust load induced by the process, through built in spherical roller thrust bearing. The units can be offered in left hand (L.H) or right hand (R.H) configurations with horizontal and vertical mounting as per customer requirements.

Features:

SUMIT GEAR “SBE” SERIES are in Modular concept of construction, Double stage in 14 sizes with ratio from 6.3:1 to 22.5:1. Torque. range. for double Stage Extruder  0.34 to 80 Knm. The units are supplied in split integral housing. “SBE” SERIES gearboxes are fully metric in design. u Key sand key way according to  I S : 2 0 4 8 / D I N 6 8 8 5 - 1 / I S O / R 7 7 3 .

Output bores are provided with single key provisions . Double key way / straight splined bore & involute splines as per customer requirements can also be provided.

 Built in cooling coil for additional  cooling is supplied as a standard feature.

Pump and heat exchanger can be supplied against specific requirements.

The high-power weight ratio of all units combines with low volume to

enable installation the most difficult situation.

Design Feature

Gear Case:

Gear Case is of rigid cast iron construction with  modern  and modular design .

Inspection cover is provided for viewing gear  contacts, oil level, ventilators and drain plug

are provided standard .

Internal & external surface is painted with linear epoxy primer. External surface is finished with alkyd, semi-gloss blue paint.

This paint is resistant to dilute acids and alkalis, oil, and temperatures up to 1400C.

Note: - Specific paint can be provided as per customer requirement.

Gear and Pinion:

High quality alloy case hardening steel provides long life wear resistance and  fatigue strength. Profile ground helical gear and pinion ensure high standards of accuracy, surface finish and quiet running characteristics. Ratings conform to latest DIN 3990 standard.

Bearings:

Antifriction Roller bearings from major manufacturers are use throughout .

SUMIT GEAR  prefers self - aligning

spherical roller thrust bearing of 294-E series.

Lubrication:

In horizontal units, Lubrication in most instances is by transfer of oil by gears dipping in the sumps of gear unit bases. In vertical unit, lubrications in most instances are provided by a pump driven by input shaft. 

It is necessary to use a forced lubrication system with a separate oil tank for specific applications.
